Uniforms

At Springwood Little Athletics we have a compulsory uniform.  We currently have a jade and maroon colour scheme.
The wearing of uniforms to all centre and LAQ competitions is compulsory and ALL numbers/badges and patches must be attached securely to your uniform.

Tiny/Tot Athletes must have a sharks polo with either shorts or bike pants (girls).  Maroon uniform bottoms are not compulsory.

All Females (from U6) can choose to wear either moroon bike pants or shorts.

All Males (from U6) must wear maroon shorts.  If an male athlete chooses to wear bike pants/compression garments as part of their uniform, they must be either maroon or black and wear sports shorts over the top.

From U/13

Females can choose to wear either a club polo, singlet or crop top as part of their uniform.
Males can choose to wear either a club polo or singlet as part of their uniform.

 

Athletes choosing to wear either croptops or singlets are reminded of the LAQ Sunsafe policy and must be covered when not competing.

 

Uniforms Cost

At Springwood Little Athletics we have a compulsory uniform.
Wearing your uniform to all centre and LAQ competitions is compulsory and ALL numbers/badges and patches must be attached securely to your uniform.

Maroon bikepants and shorts are a compulsory part of the uniforms.  We  can supply these but parents are welcome to source these items from other suppliers.

 

Placement of Badges/Patches

At Springwood Little Athletics we have a compulsory uniform.
Wearing your uniform to all centre and LAQ competitions is compulsory and ALL numbers/badges and patches must be attached securely to your uniform.

Footwear and Spikes

Comfortable enclosed shoes must be worn by all athletes while competing in any LAQ sanctioned track and field competition.

Type of footwear -

Under 6—Under 10 (inclusive) :

NO spiked shoes permitted—this also includes spike shoes with or without blanks.  Waffles (lugged rubber sole shoes) are acceptable.

Under 11—Under 12 (inclusive) :

May wear spikes in all laned track events, all jumping events and javelin. Any spike shoe without spikes may be worn in unlaned events.

Under 13—Under 17 (inclusive) :

May wear spikes in all laned and unlanded events (excluding walks), jumping events and javlin.

 

SPIKES MUST BE CARRIED TO ALL EVENTS AND REMOVED BEFORE LEAVING THE EVENT (ie. At the finish line of the sprints).

Different venues have differing requirements on the length and shape of the spike used.  If in doubt - just ask at the club
