About Springwood Sharks

Springwood Sharks was formed in 1982 (we are 28 years old) and had been competing at Springwood High School before moving to our current location in 1991.

We lease our facilities from the Logan City Council and the track and facilities are maintained by the members of the Centre. We are fortunate to have dedicated parents who realise the need to provide such grounds and equipment. We do this through fundraising and grants.

We give encouragement and support to each individual at the Centre. Not all Little Athletes grow up to become Olympians but we have found that Athletics is a great grounding for any sport where a high level of fitness and speed is required. Most importantly it gives the child a sense of achievement while having fun, getting fit and making friends.

Springwood Sharks Little Athletics Centre is a centre that promotes an active and healthy lifestyle within a safe and fun environment to unite families and the community.  We strive to provide state of the art facilities, to support, educate and to encourage athletes of all abilities.

Our Centre  is affiliated  with Little Athletics Queensland (LAQ).

Springwood Sharks meets on Saturday mornings from 8:00am til approximately 11:30am.

We are located at the corner of Loganlea Road & Golf Course Drive, Meadowbrook,  QLD,  4128

The official 2010/2011 season will commence Saturday 25th September 2010 and run until Saturday 19th March 2011.  A Christmas break will be taken from Saturday 18th December, 2010 and returning Saturday 8th January, 2011.
